Bobbie Nelson, MA, LPCC
We are so excited to offer low-cost counseling services with our Masters level intern, Bobbie Nelson! Bobbie (she/her) has spent the last three decades as a private music instructor and classroom teacher. She is qualified to teach violin, viola, cello, and piano for ages two through adulthood. During Bobbie’s time as an instructor/teacher, she discovered a passion to walking alongside individual students who were hurting and help them find expressive ways to cope with life problems, anxiety, depression, and trauma. Because of her experience, she chose to pursue her Master’s in Clinical Counseling. Bobbie is eager to work with children, teens, and adults who have experienced toxic stress, life transitions, and survived trauma. While she is in her internship at Be and Belong Counseling PLLC, she is excited to learn how expressive therapies are most effective through the use of movement, play, and music in the healing process. Bobbie is also EMDR trained and under the supervision of Abigail Esquivel LCSW RPT-S ACS during her internship. Following her graduation, Bobbie plans to continue her education by acquiring her PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision.
