Kate (they/them and she/her) is the GLUE of Be and Belong and keeps the team running smoothly as our administrative assistant! She is currently working on her Master of Social Work, which she will finish in Spring 2022. Through her volunteer work in the community, Kate has worked with people of many ages with diverse identities. Through these experiences, they have increased their communication skills, cultural humility, and unconditional positive regard. Kate strongly believes that providing effective services starts with personal education. Because of this, she has completed many trainings about providing affirming care, based on lenses of anti-racism, disability justice, and queer theory. They are passionate about working with teens and adults who are struggling with mental health concerns, especially with those who are disabled or within the LGBTQ+ community. In her free time, Kate can be found cooking tasty food, reading a good book, or nurturing her many houseplants. Reach out to them today if you are a new client wanting to get on the calendar, have case management needs, or want to get community referrals as Kate is truly gifted at connecting people.
