Kellee Clark, MS, LMFT, RPT, EMDR Certified
Kellee is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Registered Play Therapist, and EMDR Certified. She specializes in working with children and families. Kellee has extensive experience working with adult and child survivors of trauma, substance abuse struggles, and child attachment injuries. She uses an attachment and systemic lens when working with children and adult clients. Some of the theories that inform her work include: Cybernetic Systems Theory, Polyvagal Theory, Synergetic Play Therapy, and Circle of Security. Kellee believes systems are designed to self-correct to maintain homeostasis. Using this belief Kellee interweaves EMDR, DBT, play-based therapies, and experimental interventions to tap into the systemic dynamics to effect change. Kellee has a passion for helping heal shame and eliminate blame within systems to increase feelings of connection. She currently provides therapy to clients at Community Reach Center and contracts with Be and Belong Counseling to run therapeutic parenting groups. Prior to working at Community Reach Center, Kellee has experience providing services to those impacted with substance use struggles and dual diagnosis, providing in-home services with children and families involved with Child Protective Services, children and families residing in domestic violence shelters, and adolescent girls in residential treatment. Kellee also offers consultation and supervision to clinicians working towards licensure.
When not working, you can find Kellee backpacking in the mountains, exploring the many neighborhoods of Denver, completing home improvement projects, or eating a new yummy meal at a local restaurant. Kellee loves spending her time with her dog, partner, and friends as she values relationships and connection.
