What Does Supervision Look Like?
It is important to find a supervisor that aligns with your own personal values in the field, theoretical orientation, and personality. Someone you can be vulnerable with through hard clinical seasons and also who will champion your successes. Here at Be and Belong Counseling we value sound supervision and consultation as this is what enables clinicians to grow and continue to do good work. We know we cannot do this important work alone, and thus host monthly play therapy peer consultation groups to build community and support among like-minded professionals.
Abigail Esquivel, LCSW also offers more formal individual supervision for therapists pursuing clinical licensure. Abigail is an Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS), EMDR Consultant in Training, and Registered Play Therapist Supervisor (RPT-S). She can provide supervision hours to therapists working towards becoming a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Professional Counselor, or Registered Play Therapist. During supervision you will be supported in completing excellent and compliant paperwork, go over cases, and identify self of the therapist and self-care as it relates to your caseload. If you are in private practice, we will discuss ways to attract your ideal clients and develop a professional learning plan to help you achieve your clinical goals. If you are interested in either group consultation or individual supervision, contact us today!
