Counseling Intern
Tori (she/her/hers) is a counseling intern completing her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of Colorado Denver. She earned her B.A. in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh. Her passion for supporting children and families grew over seven years of providing in-home counseling services, where she discovered the profound impact of individualized support and understanding each person’s unique story, experiences, and needs.
Tori believes that healing begins with genuine human connection. Her practices are routed in Person-Centered Trauma-Informed Care, Attachment Theory, and Somatics with a particular interest in play therapy and its emphasis on client autonomy.
Outside of her clinical work, Tori volunteers with a local Denver women and children’s shelter, where she supports the organization’s day-to-day needs and community outreach efforts. She also serves as the Professional Advocacy Chair for Chi Sigma Iota, an international counseling honor society where she promotes advocacy and professional excellence within the counseling field.
In her free time, Tori enjoys going for walks with her dog named Teddy, spending time in nature camping and reading.
